How work is divided — I own the three websites end-to-end, the design system, and overall system direction, and I design on the products themselves, leading redesigns and new features alongside the team. The four designers own product surfaces across Global MSQ and SuperTrust. The rule that keeps this from becoming a bottleneck: anything touching wallet connection, transaction signing, or gas flows goes through shared-pattern review before build — surface-specific work ships on the designer’s own judgment.

The review standard — reviews check three things: does it use the shared pattern where one exists, does every state — loading, error, empty, success — exist before handoff, and can a user tell what to do next without reading the body copy.

The disagreement that changed how I design for this market — a teammate implemented a wallet screen I wanted stripped back; my instinct was minimal, theirs was dense. They held their position, so instead of deciding by title, we tested both. Their version won. That was a real learning curve for me: testing showed this audience preferred everything visible and upfront — balances, assets, actions all on the screen, nothing hidden behind interactions. I now design differently for this market than I would for a Lagos or London audience, and I hold my own preferences more loosely against evidence.

Working across Nigeria and South Korea — I don’t speak Korean (yet — I’m learning). What makes the gap workable: every design ships in Korean and English, async feedback runs through Loom recordings with linked files instead of meetings across an eight-hour offset, and a Slack translation integration renders any message into each member’s preferred language. Sprints stay fast without anyone waiting for a live call.

How the team has grown — every designer on the team now builds full products end-to-end with AI-assisted workflows, a capability we developed together and that has directly reduced delivery time. Designers who were executing specs when I joined now own complete products under their own judgment.
